Restaurant & Bar
Cooked here, bought this morning
Our kitchen runs on what came back from the market. Guests eat with us, and so does anyone else who turns up.
The kitchen
Gambian food, done properly
There is a version of West African food made for tourists, softened and served with chips. We don’t cook that. What comes out of our kitchen is what the staff eat at home: benachin cooked down in one pot, domoda rich with groundnut, fish grilled whole over charcoal.
If something is too much, say so and we’ll adjust it. If you want it the way we’d eat it, say that too.
Tell us about allergies and dietary requirements when you book rather than on arrival. We shop each morning, so with notice we can work around almost anything.

From the Kitchen
Lunch from midday, dinner from 6.30pm. Most of it comes off the grill or out of one big pot.
